Softball Showcase Honoring Matt Engels

Good morning everyone,

I wanted to reach out to our La Grange Little League Community to announce a really cool event that Joe Grill and our softball leaders/alumni are putting together. On October 5th at Sedgwick Park B Field, LGLL is going to put together a Softball Exhibition (scrimmage) in honor of Matt Engels. Matt influenced so many in our softball community, and it would be great to get all of those folks together to reminisce, catch up, and pull a hamstring or two. The game will take place at 5pm. Now, this where you all come in....

We need you to take part. Yes you!! Any players and coaches 15u and up that would like to play, The Engalls family would love to have you.
This will be fun and care free, so do not fear you are signing up to play in the Softball World Series.
We always need fans. For the younger softball families and players, this could be a chance to see some really great players from our LGLL alumni. And all you neighbors better be out there too!!!
We will gathering for some photos and memories in Left Field postgame to honor the folklore and tall tales surrounding "Club 205". What will now be referred to as Matt Engels' Club 205, has been a gathering place for coaches, parents and fans alike for years at Sedgwick Park. Though it has moved around over time, word has it the original was "established" by Matt and friends in Left Field of Sedgwick B, exactly 205 feet from home plate.
