Saturday is going to be jam packed with LGLL fun! Bring out the family and cheer on our athletes as we celebrate another amazing season!

For ALL players:

Each year, on championship day (which is Saturday, June 17 this year), we ask ALL teams to participate in our Closing Ceremonies.  Championship games will take place throughout the day, culminating in the Juniors Softball Championship game later that night. The mid-afternoon Home Run Derby is always a crowd pleaser, and the Closing Ceremonies are an annual tradition - all LGLL teams are invited to parade around the field together one last time in their uniforms in front of their parents and friends. It will be a great day, so mark your calendars and don't miss it!  

Closing Ceremonies:

At 4:30pm on Saturday, June 17, all players are invited to participate in our closing ceremonies, which honors all our little leaguers. All teams line up around the outside of Sedgwick A field and are called out one-by-one as a team, at which point your team will be honored and players invited to take a run around the Sedgwick A bases to the applause of the fans and players in attendance. There will be signs for each team along the outside of the Sedgwick A field fence. Please meet your team manager/coach at your team sign at 4:15 p.m. Closing ceremonies will be complete by 5pm.

Home Run Derbies:

Team managers will invite a couple players from each team in our upper-level divisions to participate in a home run derby. See times below for the derby for your division. Come on out and cheer on your teammates!  



Playoff Divisions:

Each year, our teams in A, B, C leagues and in majors, minors and juniors participate in a double-elimination playoff format leading up to the championship game for each level at Sedgwick on June 17. You keep playing until you lose two games or until you win! Your manager will continue to communicate future playoff games throughout the week via Game Changer and email reminders from our system.

Special note for A league:  Your playoffs begin next Monday, May 19th and continue through the June 24 weekend. 

Non-playoff Divisions:

If your son/daughter is in a division without playoffs (i.e., t-ball, coach pitch, rookies, farm league, peanuts), your games are ending within the next couple days.  After your last game, your child has just one more LGLL event -- joining us for closing ceremonies on Saturday!
